Have you completed and submitted the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the renewal FAFSA? Yes: No: Help with FAFSA To apply for student financial aid from the federal government, you are required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The government uses the FAFSA to determine if you're eligible for many Federal grants and loans. It asks you to provide information like your parents' income, assets, family size, and number of students in college and tax information. Be sure to submit the FASFA after January 1, to increase your chances of getting the aid you need. There are two ways to access and complete the FAFSA: You can complete your FAFSA online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov You can also pick up your FAFSA application at most high schools, college financial aid offices, and public libraries. Have you received a Student Aid Report (SAR)? Yes: No: Help with Student Aid Report (SAR) About three to six weeks after submitting the FAFSA, you should receive a SAR by mail.
